Kaga Makie Artist
Born in 1930 in Daishojicho, Ishikawa Prefecture
He studied under the lacquer artist Nakamura Masakichi, and later under Nakagawa Yusuke.
After going independent, he started making lacquerware for confectionery dishes and bowls, and is currently honing his craft by making tea ceremony caddies and incense containers.
Rather than being a master craftsman, we strive to be a good craftsman.
