Light red Raku ware? Imperial theme light Imperial theme light

This tea bowl was made by the first Raku master, Chojiro, following the ideas of Sen no Rikyu, and was shaped using black Raku glaze and scraping!
The beauty of the clay, which does not easily transfer heat, the property of keeping hot water from cooling down, and the beautiful color that reflects the green, make this a tea bowl that was truly made for tea.
<The Gozan mouth construction expresses a mysterious world>

This is the ideal tea bowl made by the first generation Chojiro at the command of Rikyu, and the second generation Jōkei was given the Raku seal by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. One of the Raku family's side kilns is Ohi ware (Ameraku) in Kanazawa. Currently, many potters make copies of this tea bowl.
