What is Shohaori?
The fabric that Nomura Shoha loved to use is called "Shoha" weaving. It is similar to Tsuzure weaving, and is woven in such a way that the weft threads wrap around the warp threads, and the pattern design and color scheme are woven only by the weft threads. Therefore, it has excellent flexibility and elasticity, and as a fabric it is thin, light, and does not easily lose its shape.
There is a tea ceremony using Shobaori fabric.
*When serving thick tea, it is served in a tea bowl.
*When displaying an incense holder, place it under the item.

When Rikyu set out for the Odawara campaign, the dimensions of the cloth wrapped in a natsume tea caddy that his wife Munen sent him were made uniform.
The cloth was put into use thanks to the ingenuity of Rikyu's disciple, Shiose Somi.
The act of handling a fukusa refers to the act of folding tea utensils in order to wipe them clean, and there are three ways of handling it, Shingyosou, depending on how the utensil is being handled.
