[Kakei Okada] Akane Kiln, female
Born in 1921 (Taisho 10)
Born into the Okada family, which has been involved in pottery since the beginning of the 17th century.
After studying under Masaharu Inoue as a Japanese painter, he started producing tea ware at Akaneya in Higashiyama, Kyoto.
Representative works include the Master Hounsai's favorites, the gold leaf flower and bird painting water jar, and the Phoenix painting water jar.
