[Oshio Keidan] Akahada ware
Member of the Nara Prefecture Crafts Association
Born in 1963 as the second son of Oshio Shozan, the third generation owner of Akahada ware pottery
Graduated from Nara Ikuei High School in 1981
Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Vocational Training School in 1982
Started helping out with the family business at Oshio Shozan, the Akahada pottery manufacturer.
In 1983, he joined the Nara Prefecture Industrial Association Youth Division.
In 1994, the third generation Akahada potter, Oshio Shozan, passed away and Akahada pottery became independent as Oshio Keitan.
