Tea offered before the Buddha
(One of the Tea Ceremonies)
Ceremony and decoration
- Place a Tenmoku tea bowl on a Tenmoku stand on the top plate.
- Take out the prepared tea bowl and tea caddy and proceed until the first whisk is placed.
(If using a furo, you should use a bamboo steamer and pour out the hot water.)
・Leave the chasen in its temporary position.
-Put the Tenmoku tea bowl down, warm it with hot water, pour in the discarded water, and add 1.5 scoops of tea.
・Put it in the designated location.
-Display it on the floor on a thin board together with a vase.
-Put the tea bowl back and continue whisking.
